Mid–Continent Marketing was formed in 1976 by Kevin Sweeney, Don Sinsabaugh & Richard Davison. Three talented industry personalities, Mr. Sweeney a Watts Regulator corporate employee from Boston had success in several areas of Watts’ business before being sent west to Chicago to run the territory for them, later to transition the factory office into Mid-Continent Marketing a manufacturers’ Representative Firm.

Mr. Sinsabaugh and Mr. Davidson working for Hammond valve and Chicago Faucet respectively formed the engineering and technical sides of the partnership, both experienced and respected in the Chicagoland market and regarded as problem solvers and highly ethical, the agency was founded with a core of leadership in sales, engineering and ethics

In the early 1980’s Mr. Sweeney returned to Watts corporate to help lead the growth in sales Watts would experience eventually rising to Vice President of Sales. Mr. Davidson whose eventual territory would include the state of Wisconsin would separate forming his own agency in the state of Wisconsin.

Don Sinsabaugh then the President became involved in the formation of the Illinois’ backflow prevention code working with the state plumbing inspectors and state EPA helping to create an industry that thousands are involved in today

George Shary lead the commodity side of Mid-Continent as Vice President and developed the shelf or stocking commodity programs including every type of pipe and fittings sold in Chicagoland

Gary Hull joined the company to help shift the company into a new direction. During this time the plumbing contractors influence grew to a point that manufacturer’s market share was almost impossible to maintain without a pointed focus on them, Gary became President and eventually CEO by driving Mid-Continent to an “End-User” focus that we still keep to this day!
